        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The government is again providing transport\nfare discounts during the 2026 school holiday period and the 2026\/2027\nChristmas and New Year holidays. Tickets for trains, ships, and\naeroplanes will be discounted by up to 30%.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the policy is\na form of the government\u2019s commitment to providing transport services.\nThe aim is to ease the public\u2019s travel costs and encourage the movement\nof people and economic activity during the holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are announcing a transport stimulus programme during the school\nholidays and the Christmas and New Year period,\u201d Dudy said when\nannouncing the Semester II 2026 Economic Stimulus at the Coordinating\nMinistry for Economic Affairs office in Jakarta, Monday (22\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>For the school holiday period, a 30% transport fare incentive will be\napplied to train tickets from 20 June 2026 to 5 July 2026. A 30%\ndiscount on the base fare will also be given for Pelni ships from 20\nJune 2026 to 15 August 2026. Additionally, ASDP port service fees will\nbe waived from 20 June 2026 to 5 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total budget allocation is Rp190.5 billion with a baseline\ntarget of 3 million passengers. This is in addition to a 100%\nGovernment-borne VAT (DTP) subsidy for scheduled domestic economy class\nflights from 24 June to 5 July 2026, with a budget of Rp472.5 billion\nfor 2.3 million passengers,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>For the Christmas and New Year period, a 30% incentive and discount\nwill be provided for train tickets from 22 December 2026 to 4 January\n2027, a 30% discount on the base fare for Pelni ships from 17 December\n2026 to 10 January 2027, and free ASDP port services from 22 December\n2026 to 10 January 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget allocation is Rp161.4 billion with a baseline target\nof 2.8 million passengers.
