The school committee, parents, and students of SMK IDN Bogor have filed a report with the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia alleging maladministration in the issuance of a West Java Governor's decree that revoked the school's operational permit. This action affects 568 students, including 160 in their final year, threatening their educational rights and graduation prospects just months before completion. The complainants seek procedural clarity, administrative justice, and protection of students' rights, emphasising that their efforts aim to ensure fair public service oversight rather than oppose government policy.

The school committee, along with representatives of parents and
students from SMK IDN Bogor, have reported alleged maladministration in
the issuance of the West Java Governor’s Decree regarding the revocation
of the school’s operational permit to the Ombudsman of the Republic of
Indonesia. This step was taken to obtain certainty on procedures and
protection of educational rights for hundreds of students impacted by
the policy.

The report was submitted by Hadi Koerniawan, the Class XI Coordinator
representing parents, along with seven other complainants representing
student guardians. The complaint relates to alleged maladministration in
the process of issuing the West Java Governor’s Decree on the revocation
of SMK IDN Bogor’s operational permit.

The complainants’ visit to the Ombudsman aims to inquire about the
progress of a previous report submitted on 12 March 2026. Additionally,
parent representatives have urged the Ombudsman to take a firm stance by
conducting an examination of the decision-making process.

“What we are fighting for is not just the school, but our children’s
future. We hope the Ombudsman will act firmly and objectively so that
our children do not lose their educational rights due to unclear
administrative issues,” emphasised Hadi Koerniawan, a parent.

As many as 568 students remain affected and have yet to receive
certainty regarding the continuation of their education due to the
revocation of the school’s operational permit.

The most concerning situation is faced by 160 Class XII students who
will enter the graduation period in one to two months. The uncertainty
of their educational status is deemed to potentially impact the
graduation process and the students’ academic future.

The complainants stress that this reporting step is not a form of
resistance against the government, but rather an effort to seek
procedural clarity, administrative justice, and protection of students’
rights so they do not become victims of policy and administrative
issues.

Parent representatives hope that the Ombudsman of the Republic of
Indonesia can carry out its public service oversight function
objectively and independently, while providing legal certainty and a
sense of justice for the community, particularly the students affected
by the policy.
",
