Scavengers 'eat' Harmoko's home<\/p>\n
SUKOHARJO, Central Java: A swarm of scavengers broke down the
\nwalls of House of Representatives Speaker Harmoko's house in
\nGrogol village, Sukoharjo yesterday, and "devoured" whatever they
\ncould.<\/p>\n
The house was burned and looted on May 14 during a riot here
\nin which dozens of shops and cars were destroyed.<\/p>\n
"I did this because I was asked to," said Wakijan, one of the
\nscavengers. He refused to say who had instructed him to do so.<\/p>\n
The scavengers took most of the metal frames in the house and
\nwhatever valuables were left.<\/p>\n
Only occasionally used by Harmoko's family, the house had not
\nbeen repaired since the riots.<\/p>\n
Grogol subdistrict head Mulyadi confirmed that someone had
\ninstructed the scavengers to "devour" the remains but would not
