I am only a housewife who is fed up with the country leaders'
\nas they never stop battling it out for power, condemning each
\nother and taking revenge, which only causes misery for the
\npeople.<\/p>\n
I hope that Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri's election as the fifth
\nPresident of the Republic of Indonesia replacing the former
\nPresident Abdurrahman Wahid can lead the country toward a better
\nfuture. It's a woman's nature to be soft-hearted, gentle, easily-
\nmoved and certainly devoid of malice, so she can be expected to
\ntake wise measures.<\/p>\n
Allow me to call on Ibu Mega and her cabinet to save the
\ncountry from destruction. This country has been in tears for too
\nlong, dreaming of receiving motherly caresses and affection. We
\nall hope that Ibu Mega can give the nation what the words in a
\nfamous children's song express: \"Mother's love to me lasts
\nforever. She gives and gives, expects nothing in return, just
\nlike the sun that brightens the world\".<\/p>\n
Last but not least, hats off to the members of the People's
\nConsultative Assembly as well as House of Representatives for the
\nimportant and historic decision to make Ibu Mega the country's
\nfifth president.<\/p>\n
