        "content": "<p>Saudi to donate US$130m for Aceh<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The government and citizens of Saudi Arabia have<br>\npledged US$130 million for the rehabilitation and reconstruction<br>\nof Aceh following the devastating earthquake and tsunami on Dec.<br>\n26.<\/p>\n<p>Syeikh Abdulrahman As-Suwailem, who heads the Saudi Arabia Red<br>\nCrescent, told reporters on Thursday that his government wanted<br>\nan involvement in building a number of mosques, schools,<br>\ncommunity health centers, hospitals and orphanages.<\/p>\n<p>Abdulrahman, accompanied by Saudi Arabian Ambassador to<br>\nIndonesia Abdullah A. Alim, met with Vice President Jusuf Kalla<br>\nin the latter's office in Jakarta to discuss the $100 million in<br>\naid from Saudi Arabian citizens and another $30 million from<br>\ntheir government.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the aid, Abdulrahman said that King Fahd bin<br>\nAbdul Aziz had assigned a group of envoys to monitor the<br>\nrehabilitation and reconstruction process in Aceh, so they could<br>\ndetermine what further assistance could be provided.<\/p>\n<p>Abdulrahman and his entourage planned to visit Aceh on Friday.<br>\n-- JP<\/p>",
