Saudi Arabia\u2019s Minister of Communications and Information Technology\nAbdullah Alswaha on Sunday praised China\u2019s scientific and technological\nprogress and expressed pride in the Saudi Arabia-China partnership.<\/p>\n
He also conveyed his readiness to expand cooperation with Chinese\ntechnology companies.<\/p>\n
Alswaha made the remarks while responding to questions from Xinhua at\na government press conference in Riyadh ahead of the LEAP 2026\nTechnology Conference, which opened on Monday.<\/p>\n
Recalling his visit to China last month, Alswaha praised China\u2019s\nscientific and technological capabilities, particularly in the fields of\nartificial intelligence, mathematics, and physics.<\/p>\n
He noted that China places great emphasis on basic science and has\nmany mathematicians and physicists, which contributes to its global\ncompetitiveness in science and technology.<\/p>\n
Alswaha said China\u2019s technological developments often receive\nextensive coverage from global media, describing it as a reflection of a\ngreat wave of knowledge and technological advancement.<\/p>\n
Alswaha said Saudi Arabia has learned much from China, values its\npartnership with the country, and hopes to continue collaborating with\nChinese technology companies.<\/p>\n
The LEAP Technology Conference is an annual global technology event\nheld in the Saudi capital Riyadh, first held in 2022.<\/p>\n
