Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Centre for Humanitarian Aid
(KSrelief), has officially commenced operations of a central kitchen
facility in Gaza, Palestine. This strategic initiative has been
undertaken to ensure food security for residents affected by the
conflict, particularly in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan 1447
H in 2026.

The central kitchen facility represents a collaboration with the
Centre for Culture and Heritage as part of a large-scale fundraising
campaign. The facility is capable of producing at least 24,000
ready-to-eat meal portions daily for distribution to Palestinians in
need.

This ambitious humanitarian project targets the distribution of a
total of 3.6 million meal portions during its operational period. The
primary focus of distribution is directed towards areas with the highest
concentration of refugees to ensure that aid reaches those most in
need.

In addition to providing food assistance, the operation of the
central kitchen also delivers positive economic impact for local
residents. The facility employs 40 workers from Gaza, ranging from food
preparation to logistics.

KSrelief ensures that the entire food production process at the
central kitchen adheres to the highest international health standards.
This is undertaken to guarantee food safety and nutrition for refugees,
particularly for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.

Abdullah Al Rabeeah, General Supervisor of KSrelief, emphasised that
the inauguration of the central kitchen represents the continuation of
Saudi Arabia’s long-term commitment. Assistance continues to flow
through various channels, whether by land, sea, or air.

“This project is a sustained dedication from the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. We prioritise
support for the most vulnerable groups, including women and children, so
that they have access to adequate food during this difficult situation,”
Al Rabeeah stated.

With the operation of this central kitchen, it is hoped that the
burden of the food crisis in Gaza can be significantly reduced during
Ramadan, whilst serving as a symbol of international solidarity with the
Palestinian people.
",
