        "content": "<p>Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi,\nhas affirmed that relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia are\nhighly strategic and hold significant importance for both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was made after he attended President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s\nstate address at the 2026 Annual Session of the People\u2019s Consultative\nAssembly (MPR RI) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives\nand the Regional Representatives Council (DPR-DPD RI) at the Nusantara\nBuilding, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe relationship between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia is a very\nstrategic and close one. Cooperation between the two countries covers\nvarious sectors, including religious affairs, investment, trade, and\nmany other fields,\u201d said Ambassador Al Amoudi.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudi ambassador also extended congratulations to Indonesia and\nconveyed the best regards from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to\nPresident Prabowo Subianto, the government, and all the people of\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongratulations to Indonesia. We convey the best greetings and\nrespect from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. May Allah bless\nIndonesia, President Prabowo, the government, and all the people of\nIndonesia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Relations between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, officially established\non 1 May 1950, are founded on religious ties, brotherhood, cooperation\non Hajj and Umrah, and a strategic partnership in the economic, energy\nand investment sectors worth billions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>According to data from the Presidential Secretariat in 2025, the\nvalue of trade between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia over the past five\nyears reached approximately 31.5 billion US dollars (around Rp561.5\nbillion), making Saudi Arabia Indonesia\u2019s main trading partner in the\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in his state address, President Prabowo Subianto stated\nthat the world is facing geopolitical conflicts, trade wars, open\nwarfare in Europe, in the Middle East, and in various other parts of the\nworld. The entire world is experiencing supply chain disruptions and\neconomic pressures, he continued.<\/p>\n<p>The President then stressed that under such circumstances, Indonesia\nmust increasingly be able to stand on its own feet, so that if the world\nlater experiences deeper turmoil, Indonesia can survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must be self-reliant, we must not depend on outside parties\nbecause if the situation suddenly changes for the worse, we must still\nsurvive,\u201d said Prabowo.<\/p>",
