        "content": "<p>The Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR)\nTask Force is urging ministries and agencies to expedite administrative\ndocumentation and budget revision processes to ensure optimal\nimplementation of recovery efforts in disaster-affected areas of Aceh,\nNorth Sumatra, and West Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated the\ngovernment has allocated approximately IDR 60 trillion to support\npost-disaster handling in Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>However, budget absorption remains dependent on the readiness of\nsubmissions, document completeness, and timely program execution by\nrelevant ministries and agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Sumatra Post-Disaster PRR Task Force Chairman Muhammad Tito Karnavian\nsaid the government, through the Ministry of Finance, has created a\nstreamlined process for ministries and agencies to submit budget\nrequests and supporting documents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Finance Minister is ready to receive letters and supporting\ndocuments from ministries and agencies for Sumatra disaster management\nbudgets. Therefore, we urge all parties to expedite administrative\ncompleteness to speed up fund disbursement and on-ground\nimplementation,\u201d Tito said in a press release received by Kompas.com on\nFriday, 29 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that budget readiness must be matched with execution\nreadiness to achieve timely recovery targets for affected\ncommunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know speed is essential. Once the budget is approved,\nexecution must follow immediately. There must be no delay in\nimplementation after funds are allocated,\u201d Tomsi said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that various rehabilitation and reconstruction\ntasks\u2014including river dredging, landslide-prone area reinforcement,\ninfrastructure repair, and disaster-affected zone rehabilitation\u2014require\nacceleration to ensure immediate community benefits and enhanced future\nrisk mitigation.<\/p>\n<p>To support this, the PRR Task Force is offering assistance to\nministries and agencies facing challenges in budget revision and\ndisbursement processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur aim is to expedite fund disbursement and on-ground\nimplementation so rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts can proceed\nswiftly, allowing communities to quickly experience tangible government\nassistance,\u201d Tomsi said.<\/p>",
