        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 The Forest Area Clearance Task Force (Satgas PKH) has\nuncovered suspected violations in export documentation for rare earth\nminerals at Kodaeral IV Terminal in Batam, Riau Islands. The inspection\nwas conducted by the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes\n(Jampidsus) and Satgas PKH Chairman Febrie Adriansyah, alongside TNI\nChief of General Staff Lieutenant General Richard Tampubolon on Tuesday,\n27 May 2026. Satgas PKH spokesperson Barita Simanjuntak said the\nsuspected violations were identified after the team inspected containers\npreviously seized by the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL). \u2018There is strong\nsuspicion of violations related to documents required for export\nactivities. Several pieces of evidence must be accompanied by specific\ndocuments, and some items are prohibited under export trade\nregulations,\u2019 Simanjuntak said on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The inspection\nfollowed a report from Indonesian Navy investigators on 17 May 2026\nregarding the seizure of a vessel carrying minerals suspected to contain\nradioactive elements. Simanjuntak explained that the Navy\u2019s field\nfindings will serve as the basis for law enforcement agencies to\ndetermine if criminal elements are present. \u2018The Indonesian Navy, as the\nagency conducting on-site enforcement, reported the findings to law\nenforcement authorities. This will form the basis for subsequent legal\naction to determine if there are elements of corruption, abuse of\nauthority, or document forgery,\u2019 he added. The Attorney General\u2019s Office\ninvestigation team is present to ensure the legal process adheres to\napplicable regulations. \u2018The inspection results will be reviewed legally\nand assessed,\u2019 Richard said on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. According to him,\nthe container inspection is part of law enforcement efforts and\ninteragency coordination to monitor the management of national natural\nresources and prevent misuse.
