        "content": "<p>Sarinah is encouraging micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to\nmove up the value chain through business capacity strengthening and\nexpanded market access within Indonesia\u2019s tourism ecosystem. The effort\nis being carried out through the InJourney UMKM by Sarinah Pandu\nprogramme, which combines MSME coaching with access to retail, airport,\ntourism destination and hotel ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>InJourney President Commissioner Iwan Setyawan said MSMEs play an\nimportant role in strengthening Indonesia\u2019s tourism value chain.\nHowever, that potential needs to be supported by improved capacity,\nproduct quality and access to wider markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMSMEs are not only part of the economy, but also an important part\nof Indonesia\u2019s tourism ecosystem,\u201d Iwan said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, InJourney UMKM by Sarinah Pandu is expected to open\nmore space for MSMEs to grow, improve competitiveness and become part of\nthe tourism value chain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this programme, we want to open more space for MSMEs to grow\ntogether with the InJourney ecosystem,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>InJourney Director of Human Resources and Digital Herdy Harman added\nthat strengthening MSMEs is part of efforts to build a tourism ecosystem\nthat provides broader and more sustainable benefits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMSMEs are the backbone of the economy as well as part of the\nnation\u2019s future,\u201d Herdy said.<\/p>\n<p>For that reason, the programme does not only focus on training, but\nalso on continuous coaching. MSMEs are encouraged to improve capacity,\nbuild networks, understand market needs and create greater business\nopportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are building a sustainable coaching process, not just a training\nprogramme,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>InJourney UMKM by Sarinah Pandu is being followed by 81 MSMEs.\nParticipants receive a series of coaching activities ranging from\ncapacity building and curation to opportunities to take part in\nexhibitions and conduct market testing. The programme series began with\nthe MSME curation process on 8-9 July 2026. Activities then continued\nwith a Training of Trainers (ToT) for 25 Sarinah trainer talent pool\nmembers on 13-17 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In the programme, Sarinah also developed 10 learning modules prepared\nbased on its existing learning framework, the need to improve MSME\ncapabilities and market needs.<\/p>\n<p>Participants then took part in capacity building on 8-11 August 2026\nat Sarinah Thamrin. The series of activities continued with the\nInJourney UMKM by Sarinah PANDU Expo on 12-14 August 2026 at Area\nPusaka, Sarinah. The expo served as a space for MSMEs to showcase\nproducts while gaining market testing experience and building business\nnetworks. After that, nine MSMEs were selected to take part in Festiloka\nby BRImo on 16-17 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>President Director of PT Sarinah (Persero) Raisha Syarfuan said the\ncollaboration is a step to expand Sarinah\u2019s experience in MSME coaching\nthrough Sarinah Pandu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough Sarinah Pandu, we have built experience in MSME coaching,\nincluding the development of syllabi, modules and trainers,\u201d Raisha\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>For her, strengthening the capacity of business actors is part of\nSarinah\u2019s role as a retail-based cultural experience centre. Through the\ncollaboration, the 81 MSMEs are expected to continue growing and become\nconnected to Indonesia\u2019s tourism ecosystem as well as wider markets.\nInJourney UMKM by Sarinah Pandu is expected to become a platform that\nbrings together coaching, curation and market access.<\/p>",
