        "content": "<p>A joint search and rescue (SAR) team successfully evacuated a driver\nwho was trapped inside his truck cabin following an accident involving\ntwo lorries on the Singaraja-Gilimanuk highway in Dusun Gondol,\nPenyabangan Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, on\nThursday (6\/8).<\/p>\n<p>The Denpasar Search and Rescue Office received information about the\nincident at 13.10 WITA from Daud, a local Indonesian Red Cross (PMI)\nofficer. According to the report, the accident occurred around 11.30\nWITA, leaving one driver trapped inside his vehicle and requiring a\nspecialised extraction. The victim was identified as Kadek Budi Artawan\n(42), a resident of Banjar Dinas Marga Garuda, Pejarakan Village,\nGerokgak District, Buleleng Regency.<\/p>\n<p>Following the report, on-duty personnel from the Buleleng SAR Post\nimmediately coordinated with the Gerokgak Police and the Buleleng PMI.\nKadek Donny Indrawan, Coordinator of the Buleleng SAR Post, stated that\na team of six rescue personnel departed for the location at 13.25\nWITA.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue team arrived at the scene at 13.45 WITA and promptly\nconducted an assessment to determine the safest extraction method. Given\nthat the victim was pinned inside the vehicle cabin, the joint SAR team\nemployed Vehicle Accident Rescue (VAR) techniques using extrication\nequipment while prioritising the victim\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was successfully removed from the vehicle alive, suffering\nfrom a leg injury sustained during the entrapment. He was subsequently\nevacuated to the Gerokgak Community Health Centre using a PMI Buleleng\nambulance for further medical treatment. The operation involved a\ncombined SAR team consisting of six personnel from the Buleleng SAR\nPost, four personnel from the Gerokgak Police, two personnel from the\nBuleleng PMI, as well as support from the victim\u2019s family and local\nresidents.<\/p>",
