        "content": "<p>A joint SAR team has resumed the search for three fishermen who went\nmissing after their boat was hit by a wave in the southern sea off\nPaseban Beach, Jember Regency, East Java.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe search for the three missing fishermen was resumed this\nmorning,\u201d said Head of the Jember Regional Disaster Management Agency\n(BPBD) Edy Budi Susilo on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, five fishermen departed from Puger Fishing Port to\nMeleman on Tuesday (18\/8) at noon using a jaring-type vessel named\n\u201cPantes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe boat was skippered by Samino along with four crew members, and\nupon arriving in the waters they began fishing activities,\u201d Edy\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, Wednesday (19\/8), the boat began its return\njourney and approached the shore in Paseban waters, Kencong\nDistrict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe boat saw a light and thought it was another fishing vessel, but\nas it approached the shore, it was struck by a wave from the right side,\ncausing the right hull to leak and the boat to capsize,\u201d Edy\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the incident, one crew member was found dead, one was\nfound alive, and three other fishermen were declared missing and have\nnot yet been found.<\/p>\n<p>The survivor was identified as Samino (65), the boat\u2019s skipper, while\nthe deceased victim was named Sahwiyanto (46). Both victims are\nresidents of Puger Wetan Village, Puger District.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree victims are still being searched for, namely Mujai (58), Moh.\nSholihin (34) and Samsul (45). All three are residents of Mojosari\nVillage, Puger District,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Edy explained that the Jember BPBD is coordinating with the Jember\nSearch and Rescue Post (Basarnas) and the Kencong Volunteer Team to\nsearch for the three missing victims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday the joint SAR team will continue the SAR operation at Paseban\nBeach, Kencong District.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He urged fishermen to remain cautious while fishing in the southern\nwaters of Jember, as waves can sometimes be quite high and cause boats\nto capsize.<\/p>",
