        "content": "<p>Sany Group Indonesia has introduced several electrified heavy\nmachines for mining operations, amidst the industry\u2019s need to reduce\nemissions and operational costs. The company stated that more than 500\nunits of various types of heavy equipment were ordered during the Mining\nIndonesia and Construction Indonesia 2026 event.<\/p>\n<p>Saanjay Shamdasani, Deputy General Manager and Director of Government\nRelations at Sany Group Indonesia, stated that electrification is one of\nthe approaches being developed to support low-emission mining\noperations. According to Saanjay, the mining electrification ecosystem\nincludes not only heavy machinery but also charging infrastructure,\nlow-carbon energy, digital fleet management, and human resources with\nexpertise in the field of electrification.<\/p>\n<p>Sany introduced several pieces of equipment, including 100-ton class\nexcavators, 100-ton class mining trucks, electric wheel loaders, pure\nelectric heavy-duty trucks, and electric dump trucks. This equipment is\nused to demonstrate the application of electrification technology in\nexcavation, loading, and the transport of mining materials.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to electric equipment, Sany introduced Deutz generators\nas one of the power supply options. Saanjay noted that the technologies\nintroduced have the potential to reduce operational costs by up to 60\nper cent and maintenance costs by up to 50 per cent, while\nsimultaneously reducing emissions.<\/p>\n<p>Interest in electrification-based mining equipment was also evident\nfrom transactions during the exhibition. One of the largest orders\nconsisted of 150 mining trucks, with total orders reaching more than 500\nunits of various types of heavy equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Saanjay stated that the transition towards more efficient and\nlow-emission operations will require technological readiness, supporting\ninfrastructure, services, and the ability to adapt equipment to the\nspecific conditions of each mining site.<\/p>\n<p>Sany has expressed its intention to continue the development of\ntechnology and equipment to support the transformation of the mining and\nconstruction sectors in Indonesia.<\/p>",
