        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung is optimistic that the Galaxy S26 FE will\nrecord strong sales in the Indonesian market, even though it is priced\nhigher than the previous generation due to rising global chip\nprices.<\/p>\n<p>The company designed the Galaxy S FE model for Samsung smartphone\nusers looking to upgrade from mid-range devices to flagship-level\nexperiences at an accessible price.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe saw users of the (Samsung Galaxy) A5 and even A7, which was once\navailable, eventually moving to the Galaxy S FE, particularly the Galaxy\nS25 FE last year,\u201d said Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior\nManager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, at the Galaxy S26 FE launch\nevent in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is also what we are seeing with the Galaxy S26 FE this year,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>\n<p>The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is being sold in Indonesia at Rp11,999,000\nfor the 8GB\/128GB RAM\/ROM variant.<\/p>\n<p>That price is nearly Rp2 million higher than the Galaxy S25 FE with\nthe same memory, which was offered from Rp9,999,000.<\/p>\n<p>Ilham said around 60 per cent of Galaxy S FE buyers are consumers who\npreviously used Galaxy A series phones.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, a similar trend is likely to occur with the Galaxy\nS26 FE in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Ilham added that optimism over Galaxy S26 FE sales is also\nunderpinned by the offers the company has prepared for consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The company is offering the phone with improved performance for\nlong-term use, along with cashback for consumers who pre-order, use\ncertain credit cards and banking services, or take advantage of trade-in\nschemes.<\/p>\n<p>Ilham did not deny that rising chip prices also influenced the\npricing of the Galaxy S26 FE.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the chipset price increase, we don\u2019t deny it has amplified\nsmartphone price rises in general.
