        "content": "<p>Sampoerna joins Transmarco<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuter): Indonesian tobacco tycoon Putera Sampoerna<br>\nhas bought a substantial stake in trading company Transmarco<br>\nHoldings, a company official said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have been notified that Mr. Sampoerna has bought a<br>\nsubstantial stake in the company,\" the official, who asked not to<br>\nbe identified, told Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will inform the stock exchange later today after the<br>\nmarket closes,\" she said.<\/p>\n<p>At 02:34 GMT, Transmarco topped the actives list in early<br>\ntrading with 5.9 million shares changing hands. The stock jumped<br>\nSingapore $0.95 to S$6.75.<\/p>\n<p>The official declined to reveal the size of the stake<br>\nSampoerna has bought. The Straits Times newspaper yesterday<br>\nquoted unidentified sources as saying he bought a 20 percent<br>\nstake, or about five million shares, in the open market.<\/p>\n<p>Transmarco's biggest shareholder is Indonesian-born Sukamto<br>\nSia, who is also the second largest shareholder of Amcol<br>\nHoldings, currently under judicial management.<\/p>\n<p>Sampoerna is the president director of cigarette maker PT<br>\nHanjaya Mandala Sampoerna.<\/p>",
