        "content": "<p>Salatiga KPUD asks for cars<\/p>\n<p>SALATIGA, Central Java: The five-member elections commission<br>\n(KPUD) here has asked Salatiga Mayor Totok Mintarto to provide<br>\nthem with official cars as part of their benefits, only days<br>\nafter they were sworn in.<\/p>\n<p>M. Fauzi, one of the KPUD members, confirmed on Thursday that<br>\nhis office had submitted the request for Kijang cars to the<br>\nmayoralty administration.<\/p>\n<p>\"At the very least, we can get used Kijang. If the request<br>\ncannot be fulfilled this year, we would like five cars to be<br>\nprovided gradually,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, Fauzi said it would also be no problem if the<br>\nadministration could only afford to provide motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Totok has yet to respond to the request by the KPUD,<br>\nwhich is led by Muslim cleric Tamam Qolani.<\/p>\n<p>Salatiga comprises only four subdistricts with 21 village<br>\nadministration units. -- Antara<\/p>",
