"summary": "Ahmad Sahroni, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, has expressed strong support for the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) in pursuing high-profile figures involved in major mining corruption cases that cause state losses, citing the recent case against Samin Tan of PT AKT as a positive example. He praised Kejagung's aggressive approach in reviving long-buried cases of illegal mining operations, such as PT AKT's continued coal extraction and sales despite its licence revocation in 2017, which persisted unlawfully until 2025. This development underscores Indonesia's renewed commitment to enforcing the law against powerful beneficiaries in the extractive sector, potentially broadening investigations beyond individual suspects.",
