As\na result of the assault, the victim suffered a laceration to the head,\nbruising across the entire face, and required treatment at the Tangerang\nRegency Regional General Hospital. The Head of Public Relations for the\nTangerang City Metro Police, AKP Iwan Heries, stated that the incident\nwas sparked by an emotional issue, with the victim allegedly feeling\njealous of a course marshal who had previously been asked to buy a\ndrink. Responding to the incident, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of\nthe Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni, condemned the\nperpetrator\u2019s violent actions. Sahroni urged that the perpetrator face\nlegal consequences for his deeds. \u2018This is an utterly unjustifiable act,\nespecially over a trivial personal matter. Whatever the motive, violence\nis not the way to resolve problems,\u2019 Sahroni said in a written statement\non Monday, 29 June 2026.
