        "content": "<p>Saddam Hussein sues police<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A citizen in Pekalongan, Central Java, who<br>\nshares a name with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, is suing the<br>\npolice for false arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-year-old Saddam Hussein, who professes to be an admirer<br>\nof both the Iraqi leader and late Indonesian president Sukarno,<br>\nsaid he was briefly detained by the police on the accusation that<br>\nhe had stolen a video cassette recorder found in his electronic<br>\nrepair shop, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Only later did the police accept his explanation that the<br>\nvideo player really belonged to one of his customers, he said.<\/p>\n<p>But instead of releasing him, the Pekalongan police then dug<br>\nout an old file on him which suggested that he had insulted<br>\nPresident Soeharto in 1992.<\/p>\n<p>That case had already been settled by the local military<br>\ncommand in the same year, said Saddam, who was accompanied by<br>\nlawyer Girsang Tarigan of the Semarang Legal Aid Institute.
