        "content": "<p>Sabah police on the hunt for Azahari and Noordin<\/p>\n<p>Associated Press, Kuala Lumpur<\/p>\n<p>Police are searching along eastern Malaysia's border with<br>\nIndonesia for two fugitives believed to have masterminded this<br>\nmonth's Bali bombings, a news report said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysians Azahari Husin and Noordin Mohamad Top are wanted<br>\nfor a series of attacks in Indonesia, including the Oct. 1 blasts<br>\nat three Bali restaurants that killed 23 people, including three<br>\nbombers, and injured more than 100.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are on the lookout for Azahari Husin and Noordin Mohamad<br>\nTop ... we are coordinating with the Indonesians,\" Sabah police<br>\ncommissioner Mangsor Ismail was quoted as saying by The Star<br>\nnewspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities are focusing their hunt for Azahari and Noordin --<br>\nalleged leaders of Southeast Asian terror group Jamaah Islamiyah<br>\n-- along the border in eastern Sabah state on Borneo island,<br>\nwhich Malaysia shares with Indonesia and Brunei.<\/p>\n<p>Mangsor declined to comment when asked if the duo could have<br>\nslipped into Sabah.<\/p>\n<p>Mangsor and Sabah police could not immediately be reached for<br>\ncomment.<\/p>\n<p>Azahari and Noordin fled Malaysia in 2001 amid a crackdown on<br>\nIslamic militants and are also wanted in connection with the 2002<br>\nbombings on Bali that killed 202 people, as well as other attacks<br>\nin Indonesia over the past three years.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian police say the two have escaped capture by renting<br>\ncheap houses in densely populated areas and using nearby back<br>\nalleys for quick escapes.<\/p>\n<p>Police have bolstered patrols around embassies and tourist<br>\nattractions in Malaysia following the Oct. 1 suicide attack in<br>\nBali.<\/p>\n<p>The government has said there were no terrorist cells actively<br>\noperating in Malaysia but pledged to step up vigilance to prevent<br>\nany terrorists from infiltrating the country to plot attacks.<\/p>",
