S. Sulawesi people wait for Habibie<\/p>\n
UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: People here are enthusiastically
\nawaiting Thursday's visit of President B.J. Habibie, particularly
\nthose in his hometown of Pare-pare.<\/p>\n
\"It is quite an honor for us,\" Agus, a vendor here said.<\/p>\n
During his two-day visit the President is expected to
\nofficiate at a number of projects, which have an estimated value
\nof Rp 770 billion. The projects include the Bili-bili dam in Gowa
\nregency, the highway Jl. Tol Reformasi from Ujungpandang to
\nMandai, and the terminal at the Soekarno Hatta port.<\/p>\n
The trip was earlier scheduled to be part of a visit to
\nKalimantan and Maluku, but security reasons led to the
\ncancellation of the visit to the latter province.<\/p>\n
Antara reported that Habibie is scheduled to hold talks with
\nKuwait's crown prince, Sheikh Ali Jabbar El Sabah, on Thursday
\nnight in Ujungpandang before leaving for Pare-pare.<\/p>\n
\"The president and his entourage are expected to arrive here
\non Thursday evening and he is scheduled to meet with the Kuwaiti
\ncrown prince, local public figures and ulema,\" South Sulawesi
\nGovernor Palaguna said on Wednesday. (27)<\/p>",
