Although both Moody\u2019s and\nFitch also maintained Indonesia\u2019s credit rating, they revised the\noutlook to negative, which Purbaya said created a poor perception of his\nand the President\u2019s management of the state budget. \u201cThis update from\nS&amp;P is confirmation that we are on the right track, with good and\nprudent policies,\u201d Purbaya said in the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on\nTuesday (14\/7\/2026). He stressed that S&amp;P\u2019s decision to maintain\nIndonesia\u2019s sovereign credit rating at BBB for the long term and A-2 for\nthe short term, with a stable outlook, is global recognition that the\ngovernment is managing the fiscal situation well and cautiously while\naccelerating economic growth. \u201cThis is different from what observers\nhave shown, claiming we are running the fiscal policy brutally and so\non.
