S. Korea warned of threats in SE Asia<\/p>\n
THAILAND: South Korea's embassy in Thailand has received a
\nwarning of attacks on the country's official and private property
\nand aircraft in Southeast Asia, Thai and South Korean officials
\nsaid on Friday.<\/p>\n
The threatening message was received on Thursday from a group
\ncalling itself the \"Anti-Korean Interest Agency,\" a Foreign
\nMinistry official told Reuters in Seoul.<\/p>\n
South Korea did not believe the group had links with known
\ninternational terrorist groups, the official said. The threat was
\nmore likely connected to disgruntled Southeast Asians who have
\nbeen denied entry on flying to South Korea, he said.<\/p>\n
A spokesman for South Korea's embassy in Bangkok, which has
\nbeen subject to protests from people refused entry, confirmed the
\nletter, but gave no further details.<\/p>\n
Thai police have tightened security at all foreign embassies
\nin Bangkok, which some analysts say could be a target for
\nmilitants.<\/p>\n
\"It is a group that might be unhappy with the North-South
\nproblem. There is no relation to international terrorism. It is
\njust their own problems,\" Thai Foreign Minister Surakiart
