Korea, RI plan barter deal<\/p>\n<p>SEOUL (Dow Jones): South Korea&apos;s Ministry of Commerce,<br>\nIndustry and Energy said it concluded Thursday a two-day meeting<br>\nwith Indonesian government officials on improving trade between<br>\nthe two countries during an annual committee of energy and<br>\nmineral resources cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>During the two-day meeting, the two sides shared the view that<br>\nbarter trade will be necessary to help foster overall trade<br>\nbetween the two countries, which has been falling sharply since<br>\nthe currency crisis hit Asia last year, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy Park Tae-young<br>\nheaded the South Korean delegation to the meeting in Seoul while<br>\nMinister of Mines and Energy Kuntoro Mangkusubroto led the<br>\nIndonesian mission.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides discussed including crude oil, mineral resources<br>\nand gas products in the barter trade, the ministry said. They<br>\nplan to meet again soon to continue talk on details regarding the<br>\nbarter trade.<\/p>",
