Rustamadji exhibition in Ancol<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The art of the late, great artist Rustamadji will be
\ndisplayed at the Rustamadji Dalam Kenangan (Rustamadji in Memory)
\nexhibition at the Galeri Pasar Seni (arts market) at Ancol
\nDreamland from March 14 to April 7.<\/p>\n
\"The exhibition is a collaboration between PT Pembangungan
\nJaya Ancol, developer of the amusement center, and the Rustamadji
\nFoundation. The exhibition will commemorate a year after the
\npainter's death and the 27th anniversary of Pasar Seni,\" said PT
\nPembangunan Jaya Ancol spokesman Mukhrijul Adli as quoted by
\nBeritajakarta.com over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The show, which will officially be opened by former minister
\nof education Fuad Hassan, will display Rustamadji's 72 paintings,
\nsculptures and books. Among his works are Rawa Jombor (1980),
\nMerapi (1984), Bunga Bangkai (1994) and Pohon Pisang (1996).<\/p>\n
A poetry reading by Chairul Umam, of Rustamadji's poems, will
\nalso take place during the event. Finally, a discussion of his
\nworks featuring keynote speaker and former minister of education
\nDaoed Joesoef will be staged on Thursday March 14 at 7:30 p.m. --
