        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Russia will once again host the International\nEconomic Forum \u201cRussia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2026\u201d, which is\nscheduled to take place in Kazan, Tatarstan, from 12 to 17 May,\naccording to the Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, Sergei Tolchenov.<\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive interview with ANTARA in Jakarta on Wednesday,\nTolchenov stated that KazanForum 2026 will focus on various Islamic\neconomic issues, including Sharia banking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe KazanForum international economic forum will be held again with\na focus on various Islamic economic issues, ranging from Sharia banking,\nhalal industries, to Muslim fashion and moderation,\u201d said Tolchenov.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the organisers invite many delegations from\nIndonesia each year. At KazanForum 2025, Culture Minister Fadli Zon\nattended along with several other representatives from various\nsectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, Indonesia\u2019s participation is again receiving special\nattention. The organisers consider the presence of the Indonesian\ndelegation important in strengthening cooperation, especially within the\nscope of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that KazanForum also serves as a platform to introduce\nthe fact that Russia\u2019s Muslim population is quite significant, at around\n15 to 18 million people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, this is perhaps the second largest religion in our country.
