The decline continued a correction of 0.12%
in the previous trading session.

Today’s rupiah movement will still be influenced by developments in
the Middle East conflict, anticipation of the Federal Reserve’s (The
Fed) interest rate decision, and exchange rate stabilisation measures
taken by Bank Indonesia (BI).

Although tending to weaken, the greenback continues to receive
support from demand for safe-haven assets following renewed escalation
of tensions in the Middle East.

Nevertheless, global currency movements remained limited at the start
of Asian trading. BI is also continuing to
sharpen the use of other monetary instruments.

“Various instruments, including triple intervention in the foreign
exchange market (spot, NDF, and DNDF) as well as the optimisation of
monetary instruments such as SRBI supported by swap incentive facilities
and DNDF hedging, continue to be optimised to maintain exchange rate
stability while supporting the inflow of foreign capital,” he said.

BI is also continuing to maintain sufficient liquidity in the money
and banking markets. The issuance of Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities
(SRBI) will be adjusted according to liquidity management needs while
also being directed to support the inflow of foreign capital.
",
