        "content": "<p>Rule on margin trading<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) plans to issue<br>\na margin trading ruling at the end of this year to prepare for<br>\nthe introduction of such transaction activities, says the<br>\nexchange's president, Hasan Zein Machmud.<\/p>\n<p>\"The ruling is under preparation and we hope it will be issued<br>\nbefore the end of the year,\" he said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>He said that margin trading, a transaction which allows<br>\ninvestors to borrow money or stocks from brokerage companies in<br>\ntrading activities, will theoretically boost trading activities.<\/p>\n<p>But he doubted that the introduction of margin trading on the<br>\nlocal stock market would have an immediate impact.<\/p>\n<p>\"In a reality it will be difficult to predict if margin<br>\ntrading will revitalize the market because investors also need<br>\ntime to adjust themselves to a new development.\" he<br>\nexplained.(hen)<\/p>",
