Key initiatives include expanding road networks with over Rp300 billion already allocated for western areas, special mining transport roads, tax exemptions for low-value properties, and full BPJS Health coverage for all residents. Strategic projects such as a 50 MW waste-to-energy power plant in Galuga and an international sports centre in Rancabungur highlight collaborative efforts to drive inclusive growth across the regency.

The development direction for Bogor Regency in 2027 will focus on
strengthening infrastructure, improving basic public services, and
developing new economic growth centres in various regions. This was
stated by Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto at the Musyawarah Perencanaan
Pembangunan (Musrenbang) forum for the 2027 Regional Medium-Term
Development Plan (RKPD) of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

“Development in Bogor Regency in 2027 will focus on strengthening
infrastructure, improving basic public services, and developing new
economic growth centres in various regions,” said Rudy.

According to Rudy, the development challenges in Bogor Regency are
significant, given that this area has the largest population in
Indonesia, approximately 6.19 million people spread across 40
sub-districts, 416 villages, and 19 urban villages. This condition
creates evolving dynamics in community needs in Bogor Regency.

Rudy revealed that infrastructure development remains one of the main
priorities. In previous years, the local government has allocated more
than Rp300 billion for road improvements in the western region of Bogor
Regency, such as in Rumpin, Parung Panjang, Gunung Sindur, Sukajaya, and
up to Nanggung.

In the future, road development will continue to be expanded,
including the construction of access roads in Malasari Village, Nanggung
Sub-district, spanning 18 kilometres, road access development in the
Cijeruk area, and the development of connecting routes from the
Transyogi area to new economic growth centres in the eastern region of
Bogor Regency.

“In addition, the local government is also preparing the construction
of special mining transport roads in the western region to minimise the
impact of mining vehicle activities on the community,” said Rudy.

According to him, not only infrastructure, but the development
direction of Bogor Regency also emphasises improving public services.
One of them is through the policy of exempting Land and Building Tax
(PBB) for communities with tax values below Rp100,000.

Pemkab Bogor is also continuing to strengthen the Universal Health
Coverage (UHC) programme by ensuring BPJS Health participation for all
residents of Bogor Regency. Currently, the local government covers BPJS
contributions for around 6.19 million residents. “For us, the basic
rights of the community are health and education. Therefore, the
government is present to ensure that all residents have access to health
services,” he stated.

In addition to basic service programmes, several strategic projects
are projected to drive Bogor Regency’s development in the future. Among
them is the construction of a Waste-to-Energy Power Plant (PLTSa) at the
Galuga Final Disposal Site, targeted to generate around 50 megawatts of
electricity.

“In the regional development sector, the central government has also
designated Bogor Regency as the location for an international-scale
sports centre in Rancabungur Sub-district, with a land area of around
500 hectares,” said Rudy.

All these development plans, according to Rudy, require support and
collaboration from various parties, including the Regional People’s
Representative Council (DPRD), village governments, community
organisations, and all elements of society.

“Bogor Regency cannot be built by one person, not by one ethnic
group, and not by one religion. Bogor must be built together with the
spirit of unity in diversity and love for Bogor Regency,” he said.

According to Rudy, the Bogor Regency Government continues to evaluate
ongoing development. It also formulates strategic steps so that
development can reach all regions.
",
