        "content": "<p>Rubber mixed in KL and Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (Reuter): Malaysian rubber prices ended the week<br>\nmixed after adjusting to the fluctuations of a battered ringgit<br>\nand rupiah, local traders said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Buying of the SMR20 and other selected SMR grades by agents<br>\ncovering earlier sales to foreign clients helped keep prices<br>\nsteady, said traders.<\/p>\n<p>At the close, the benchmark RSS1 for September buyer was<br>\nofficially priced at 250.50 cents (90 cents U.S.), down half cent<br>\nfrom Thursday&apos;s close. The SMR20 for September buyer was quoted a<br>\ncent up at 250 cents a kg.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in Jakarta, Indonesian tire-grade SIR20 offer prices<br>\nwere stable in late trading yesterday with rupiah movements the<br>\nmain issue in the market, traders said.<\/p>\n<p>They said a deal was done overnight at 42 U.S. cents\/lb fob<br>\nPalembang for October shipment and at 42.25 fob Medan.<\/p>\n<p>Offer prices were quoted at 43 fob Medan for November<br>\nshipment, 41.50 fob Padang, Pontianak and Jambi for September<br>\nshipment and 42 fob Surabaya. Traders offered rubber at 42 fob<br>\nSurabaya.<\/p>",
