        "content": "<p>Rubber futures rise<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuter): Singapore rubber futures, maintaining<br>\ntheir upward momentum, moved higher in quiet morning trade on the<br>\nback of further Indonesian gains, brokers said.<\/p>\n<p>They said there were rumors Indonesia's SIR20 rubber FOB Jambi<br>\nchanged hands at 73 U.S. cents a pound, the highest level in<br>\nseven months.<\/p>\n<p>Jambi is near the main rubber producing region on Sumatra<br>\nrecently hit by a powerful earthquake.<\/p>\n<p>The last time Indonesian prices rose above the 70 cents mark<br>\nwere in May this year, fueled by Chinese buying and coupled with<br>\nfloods and heavy rains in growing areas.<\/p>\n<p>Traders said the latest bull run was boosted by renewed<br>\nChinese buying. This was followed by heavy consumer and dealer<br>\nshort-covering and a reserve of sellers amid a wet spell across<br>\nSumatra.<\/p>",
