        "content": "<p>Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) has confirmed that no brain\nfunction impairment was found in a student from Karo Regency, North\nSumatra, who was allegedly a victim of Free Nutritious Meal (MBG)\npoisoning. This certainty was reached after the medical team conducted a\nseries of examinations on the student, including neurological and\nsupplementary tests.<\/p>\n<p>Paediatric Specialist and Paediatric Neurology Consultant,\nProf.\u00a0Setyo Handryastuti, stated that the examination results showed the\npatient\u2019s brain function is in good condition. \u201cGod willing, I can\nensure that there is no brain function impairment in the first child,\u201d\nsaid Prof.\u00a0Handryastuti during a press conference in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Prof.\u00a0Handry explained that this confirmation was obtained after the\nteam conducted interviews, physical and neurological examinations, and\nsupplementary tests such as electroencephalography (EEG) to assess brain\nfunction. Given these results, the patient is deemed to have the\nopportunity to return to daily activities, including attending\nschool.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, God willing, in the future, the child can go back to\nschool, resume activities, and be cheerful again. Currently, our focus\nis on the clinical management of this first patient moving forward,\u201d she\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin assembled a team\nof experts at RSCM to handle the student from Karo suspected of being an\nMBG victim. The team comprised paediatric specialists, neurologists,\nchild psychiatrists, and internal medicine specialists. Additionally,\nthe paediatric collegium was called upon to assist in conducting a\ncomprehensive examination of the patient to ensure their condition\nthrough multi-disciplinary medical assessment.<\/p>\n<p>The two suspected victims of MBG poisoning were transported from\nNorth Sumatra to Jakarta on Saturday (12\/9) via commercial aircraft,\naccompanied by parents and medical personnel. Upon arrival in Jakarta,\nboth patients received further treatment and examination at RSCM.<\/p>",
