'RRI' receives bomb threat<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Scores of officers from the National Police's
\nbomb squad were hastily deployed to state Radio Republik
\nIndonesia (RRI) in Central Jakarta following a bomb threat at the
\neight-story building on Monday evening.<\/p>\n
According to Central Jakarta Police's chief of detectives Maj.
\nBudiono Sandi, the officers searched the building on Jl. Medan
\nMerdeka Barat for hours, finding a strange object in a room of
\nthe building.<\/p>\n
Budiono, however, refused to give details about the object,
\nbut security sources said that it was a square box wrapped in a
\nwhite plastic sheet.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim, an RRI employee, said that the object was found by
\nthe bomb squad in Studio B, a meeting room located on the second
\nfloor.<\/p>\n
"The phone call relaying the threat was received by
\nbroadcaster Aden Berlian at about 6 p.m.," Ibrahim told The
\nJakarta Post last night.<\/p>\n
No damage occurred and the exact nature of the object removed
\nfrom the building remains unknown. The object is being examined
\nat the bomb squad's headquarters in Kelapa Dua, south of here.<\/p>\n
A number of soldiers have been stationed at the building for
