        "content": "<p>RP seize bomb-making chemicals, nab 4<\/p>\n<p>PHILIPPINES: Philippine police, backed by army personnel,<br>\narrested four people and seized large quantities of chemicals<br>\nthat could be used to make bombs during a dawn raid on Tuesday<br>\nnear Manila, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The government raid near Lucena City, 100 kilometers southeast<br>\nof Manila, followed a wave of bombings in this southeast Asian<br>\nisland chain.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities recovered three tons of ammonium nitrate, a ton of<br>\npotassium nitrate and a small quantity of potassium cyanide from<br>\na warehouse, regional military spokesman Major Jose Broso said.<\/p>\n<p>Four caretakers of the warehouse were held for questioning,<br>\nBroso said. They insisted the seized chemicals were covered by<br>\ngovernment permits. Ammonium nitrate is also a commonly used<br>\nfertilizer in the Philippines. --AFP<\/p>",
