        "content": "<p>Rp 900m budgeted for elections<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA: The Yogyakarta municipality has allocated Rp 900<br>\nmillion to prepare ballot booths and education the public about<br>\nthe presidential election on July 5.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Yogyakarta General Elections Commission<br>\n(KPUD), Miftachul Alfin, said each of the polling places in the<br>\nmunicipality would receive Rp 250,000 for the election.<\/p>\n<p>\"This is less than what was allocated for the legislative<br>\nelection, which was Rp 425,000 each, because the presidential<br>\nelection is supposed to be simpler so it won't require as much<br>\nmoney,\" Alfin said.<\/p>\n<p>He also said the municipal election committee had proposed a<br>\nbudget of Rp 1.6 billion for the upcoming presidential election.<br>\nHowever, only Rp 900 million was approved for the first round of<br>\nthe presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>\"The remaining Rp 700 million ... will be allocated for the<br>\nsecond round of the presidential election,\" Alfin said. --JP<\/p>",
