        "content": "<p>Rp 52.6b for flood control<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The city administration has set aside Rp 52.6<br>\nbillion (US$5.84 million) this year to cope with floods, an<br>\nofficial said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Public Works Agency, Fadly Katib, said most of<br>\nthe funds would cover maintenance and construction projects in<br>\nsome 80 flood-prone areas.<\/p>\n<p>Fadly said the program would include the purchasing and<br>\nmaintaining of new pumps, floodgates and electric generators, and<br>\nalso cleaning up canals and waterways.<\/p>\n<p>\"However, the plan won't guarantee that Jakarta will be free<br>\nof floods.
