The KPK has seized Rp 106.3 billion during a sting operation (OTT)\nconcerning a bribery case involving the processing of building rights\n(HGB) for Summarecon land in Bogor Regency, West Java. This seizure is\nreportedly the largest in the history of sting operations conducted by\nthe KPK.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this series of sting operations, the KPK team has continued to\nsecure various pieces of evidence collected during field activities,\nranging from electronic evidence to cash, which currently totals\napproximately Rp 106.3 billion,\u201d said the Acting Director of\nInvestigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, on Wednesday\n(16\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is among the highest amounts recovered from sting operations\npreviously conducted by the KPK,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

For context, while the KPK has handled much larger corruption\ncases\u2014such as the e-KTP scandal with losses of Rp 2.3 trillion and the\nLPEI case with losses of Rp 11.7 trillion\u2014this specific seizure is the\nlargest in the context of a sting operation (OTT).<\/p>\n

Taufik noted that the KPK previously seized approximately Rp 45\nbillion in evidence during a sting operation involving Customs officials\nfrom the Ministry of Finance, but the amount seized in this HGB\nprocessing case is significantly higher.<\/p>\n

The hundreds of billions in cash evidence was presented during a\npress conference at the KPK Building. The funds, obtained by\ninvestigators from several suspects, were found in various suitcases and\ncardboard boxes, consisting of Indonesian Rupiah, USD, SGD, Saudi Riyal,\nand Malaysian Ringgit.<\/p>\n

    The KPK has named eight suspects in this case, four of whom are\nidentified as confidants of the Minister of ATR\/BPN Nusron Wahid.<\/p>\n
