        "content": "<p>Bekasi, Kompas.com \u2014 Several residents and motorists are complaining\nabout the damaged road conditions in front of the main gate of Dukuh\nZamrud Housing, Cimuning Ward, Mustikajaya Subdistrict, Bekasi City.<\/p>\n<p>The potholed road in the area is considered dangerous for motorists\nand prone to causing accidents, particularly at night or when it\nrains.<\/p>\n<p>Kompas.com observations at the site showed the road surface with\npotholes at several points and peeling asphalt.<\/p>\n<p>Due to these conditions, motorists often slow down their vehicles\nwhen passing through.<\/p>\n<p>One Mustikajaya resident, Imam (28), described the situation as\nhighly contrasting with the grandeur of the Dukuh Zamrud main gate,\nwhich previously went viral on social media for using nearly Rp 1\nbillion from the regional budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a really unique phenomenon. The gate was built for almost Rp\n1 billion, but the road in front is damaged,\u201d said Imam when met by\nKompas.com at the location on Friday (8\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government should look at the reality on the ground. Don\u2019t just\nbuild a beautiful gate for the eyes, but neglect safety functions,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to endangering motorists, the potholed road is also said\nto frequently cause congestion because vehicles must slow down when\npassing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is no longer just a nuisance, but dangerous.
