        "content": "<p>Royal cemeteries declared closed<\/p>\n<p>MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: Cemeteries containing the graves of<br>\nroyalty and respected Muslim ulemas, which have been registered<br>\nas historical sites, should no longer be used, a noted local<br>\narcheologist said.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Muttalib, a former head of the South and Southeast<br>\nSulawesi office of historical relics, said descendants of the<br>\nroyalties continued to use these cemeteries in violation of a<br>\nbylaw declaring them protected.<\/p>\n<p>Any exception must have the approval of the Directorate<br>\nGeneral of Culture at the Ministry of National Education in<br>\nJakarta, Muhammad said.<\/p>\n<p>The Gowa royal cemetery near the Katangka Mosque and the<br>\ncemeteries of the Binamu and Bantaeng royalties continue to be<br>\nused by their descendants, he said.
