        "content": "<p>Roy Suryo has once again been reported to the police, this time on\nsuspicion of defamation and slander against the chairman of Gibranisti,\nTaufik Bilfaqih, at the South Jakarta police station.<\/p>\n<p>Taufik, known as Bill, reported Roy Suryo on Thursday (16 July).\nBill\u2019s report was filed under number LP\/B\/2805\/VII\/SPKT\/POLRES METRO\nJAKARTA SELATAN.<\/p>\n<p>Bill claimed he felt slandered by Roy Suryo during a recent press\nconference concerning news about the validation of Roy Suryo\u2019s doctoral\ndegree at Jakarta State University (UNJ).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo this relates to defamation, insult, and damage to my honour and\ndignity, and then there was glorification by the person concerned,\nleading people to view me as a slanderer, a liar, a spreader of hoaxes.\nThat is something I cannot accept,\u201d said Bill after filing the report at\nSouth Jakarta Metro Police on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted that he had looked into Roy Suryo\u2019s student status at\nUNJ. However, according to Bill, Roy Suryo reacted in a way he\nconsidered cornering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of his clarification about UNJ, we found more and more\nirregularities, including in statements he made, which were perhaps\nslips of the tongue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I also noticed that sometimes it was not just a slip of the\ntongue, there was mens rea involved. Moreover, he accused me, he\nslandered me (by saying) that I had slandered him. He accused me of\naccusing him (Roy Suryo) of having a fake diploma,\u201d he continued.<\/p>",
