The respondent in this pretrial is the Metro\nJaya Police Chief, represented by the Director of General Criminal\nInvestigation and the Head of the State Security Sub-Directorate, along\nwith the High Prosecutor\u2019s Office of DKI Jakarta, represented by the\nHead of the South Jakarta District Attorney\u2019s Office and the prosecution\nteam. \u201cTo order the respondent to pay compensation to the applicant:\nMaterial losses amounting to Rp106 million, immaterial losses amounting\nto Rp100 million. Total losses of Rp206 million,\u201d said one of Roy\nSuryo\u2019s legal representatives while reading the petition at the South\nJakarta District Court on Wednesday (29\/7). He stated that Roy Suryo\nsuffered material losses as a result of his four-day detention. One of\nthe losses was the lack of income from his personal YouTube account.\n\u201cLoss of daily income, where if calculated based on the estimated\naverage daily income of the Applicant from the views on the Roy Suryo\nOfficial YouTube channel is at least or approximately Rp3 million per\nday, multiplied by the number of days of detention, which is 4 days, so\nthe total is 4 multiplied by Rp3 million, equalling Rp12 million,\u201d he\nsaid. Other losses included legal consultation and litigation fees for\nadvocates amounting to Rp5 million per day. This amount was multiplied\nby four days, totalling Rp20 million. Furthermore, the litigation costs\nfor a team of 11 advocates for one pretrial package amounted to Rp30\nmillion. Then, transportation and meal costs for 11 people over eight\ndays totalled Rp44 million. \u201cThus, the immaterial losses in the form of\nattacks on honour, psychological burden, anxiety, and social stigma due\nto massive media coverage are aggravating factors that warrant\nappropriate compensation and should reasonably reach at least Rp100\nmillion,\u201d he added. This third pretrial was registered by Roy Suryo at\nthe South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, and is\nregistered under case number: 118\/Pid.Pra\/2026\/PN JKT.SEL with the case\nclassification concerning \u201cCompensation\u201d. In the second pretrial\nregarding the determination of the suspect, sole judge I Ketut Darpawan\nrejected the petition.
