Ronald dominates Annual Session<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A large political gathering such as the Annual
\nSession of the People's Consultative Assembly always brings out a
\nplethora of public figures, but this time they may have some
\ncompetition from a yellow clothed mannequin in stripped socks --
\nRonald McDonald.<\/p>\n
The McDonalds stand was one of the first setup inside the
\nAssembly compound and visitors were already lining-up on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Visitors cannot miss the stand with the McDonalds mascot in
\nits usual pose sitting on a bench in front.<\/p>\n
Most of the stands are located on the left side of the plenary
\nbuilding. Workers were rushing Sunday afternoon to get the stands
\nready. One stand which is popular year-after-year is the Air
\nMancur herbal medicine stand, was also being setup.<\/p>\n
Besides food and outlets, the National Information
\nCoordinating Body, formerly the ministry of information, also has
\na display of photographs of the Assembly's activities since the
\nelection of President Abdurrahman Wahid in October.<\/p>\n
State airlines Garuda Indonesia and Merpati also opened ticket
