As one of the world's leading power systems companies,
its aero engines power a range of aircraft operated by major
international and domestic airlines.

In December 1996 the national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia,
took delivery of the first of its six Airbus A330 aircraft
powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines. The Trent 800 engine
powers all Boeing 777 aircraft operated by airlines based in
Southeast Asia.

The Indonesian Air Force is one of Rolls-Royce's biggest
military customers worldwide, operating Hawk MK553 trainer
aircraft powered by the Rolls-Royce Adour engine and Hercules
C130 transports with Rolls-Royce Allison power plants.

In 1986, Rolls-Royce entered into a collaborative agreement
with IPTN to assist in developing repair and overhaul
capabilities on a range of Rolls-Royce aero engines operated in
Indonesia.

IPTN's own designed commuter aircraft, the N250, powered by
the Allison AE2100C engine, is now undergoing certification
procedures. The BMW Rolls-Royce joint-venture BR700 is a strong
candidate engine for regional jet requirements.

Growing activity in industrial power is also important to
Rolls-Royce in Indonesia.

In the oil and gas industry, development by Indonesia of its
large natural gas fields is of great interest to Rolls-Royce, in
view of the need for extensive power system requirements.

Also, the Rolls-Royce range of aeroderivative gas turbines and
high-efficiency diesel engines is attracting attention in the
power-generation market for 1.5MW to 50MW installed capacity.

It is also currently pursuing a number of projects in
electrical transmission and is considering local manufacture of
some equipment in the power-distribution market.

Rolls-Royce's significant activity in Indonesia covers nearly
all of the company's range of activities. It is committed to a
long-term relationship with the country in many sectors.
",
