Bekasi, Kompas.com \u2014 The alleged corruption case within the Bekasi\nRegency Government not only implicates local officials and private\nparties but also brings into focus the role of an active police officer\nwho is now under scrutiny.<\/p>\n
The name Yayat Sudrajat alias \u201cLippo\u201d has emerged in a series of\ncourt proceedings in the case ensnaring former Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara\nat the Bandung Corruption Court. He appeared as a witness in the\nmatter.<\/p>\n
The Head of Public Relations at Depok Police Resort, Made Budi,\nconfirmed that Yayat was summoned as a witness in the alleged bribery\ncase for the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, that\u2019s correct, (the individual was summoned as a witness)\nrelated to that case,\u201d said Made when contacted by Kompas.com on\nWednesday (22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cAt present, he is registered as a member of the Cimanggis Police\nSector. There is no information regarding this (resignation),\u201d added\nMade.<\/p>\n
In the trial, Yayat admitted to his role as a liaison between private\nparties and departments in Bekasi Regency.<\/p>\n
He is said to have taken a profit of around 7 percent from each\nproject that was successfully secured.<\/p>\n
From that role, Corruption Eradication Commission investigators\nrecorded funds received by Yayat amounting to Rp 16 billion over the\nperiod from 2022 to 2025.<\/p>\n
The case itself originated from \u201cijon\u201d practices for projects within\nthe Bekasi Regency Government.<\/p>\n
Ade Kuswara, along with his father HM Kunang and private party\nSarjan, have been named as suspects after being caught in a sting\noperation.<\/p>\n
Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, Asep Guntur\nRahayu, explained that the case began with communications between Ade\nand Sarjan regarding project packages within the Bekasi Regency\nGovernment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe total \u2018ijon\u2019 given by Sarjan to Regent Ade together with HM\nKunang amounted to Rp 9.5 billion. The money was handed over in four\ninstances through intermediaries,\u201d said Asep.<\/p>\n
In addition, Ade is also alleged to have received other fund flows\nthroughout 2025 amounting to Rp 4.7 billion, bringing the total receipts\nto Rp 14.2 billion.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Sumarni emphasised that Yayat is no longer part of\nher unit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe individual is not a member of ours. Mr Y is a member of\nCimanggis Police Sector, Depok Police Resort. He was indeed here\npreviously, but was transferred in 2017,\u201d Sumarni stated firmly.<\/p>\n
Amid a case that initially centred on \u201cijon\u201d practices for projects\nin the Bekasi Regency Government, the emergence of an active officer\u2019s\nname shows that the network of this matter not only involves officials\nand private parties but also touches law enforcement institutions.<\/p>\n
