        "content": "<p>Medical technology in Indonesia has entered a new chapter with the\nincreasingly widespread use of robotic surgery systems across various\nmedical disciplines. This innovation offers a solution for patients\nrequiring medical procedures with a high degree of precision, lower risk\nof complications, and far shorter recovery times compared to\nconventional methods.<\/p>\n<p>The technology has been applied across a range of specialities, from\northopaedics and urology to digestive surgery and neurology. With\ninfrastructure spread across major cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya,\nBali and Makassar, public access to high-technology healthcare services\nis now widening, without patients needing to seek treatment abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Siloam International Hospitals has been one of the institutions\naggressively strengthening its clinical capabilities through this\nrobotic surgery ecosystem. Over the past year, Siloam has operated seven\nrobotic systems, making it one of the most comprehensive providers of\nrobotic surgery services in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond simply procuring advanced equipment, Siloam has built a\nsustainable foundation encompassing physician competency development,\nstrict clinical governance, and the use of research data to measure\npatient outcomes. Research\ndata shows the technology offers greater precision, lower complication\nrisk, and shorter recovery times than conventional methods.<\/p>\n<p>As part of developing this ecosystem, Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk\nhas been designated a Centre of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery.\nThe centre serves as a hub for education, research and multidisciplinary\nrobotic surgery development. Since launching the Da Vinci Xi system in\n2025, the hospital has carried out more than 100 robotic surgery\nprocedures supported by ten certified specialists.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline Riady, Chief Executive Officer of Siloam International\nHospitals, stressed that healthcare transformation occurs when\ninnovation is applied responsibly. \u201cWe are not merely bringing in\ntechnology, but building an ecosystem that includes investment in\nphysician competence and a culture of continuous learning to produce\nbetter clinical outcomes,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Grace Frelita, MM, Chief Medical Officer of Siloam International\nHospitals, presented the results of an internal evaluation through the\nSiloam Knee Arthroplasty Registry. The data shows clear advantages for\nrobotic-assisted knee surgery compared to conventional methods.<\/p>\n<p>Patients have experienced the benefits first-hand, including Sutinah\nIrsan, who underwent a Total Knee Replacement (TKR) using ROSA\u00ae Knee\nRobotic Surgery technology. She reported that her recovery progressed\nvery quickly with minimal pain.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate these achievements and accelerate knowledge transfer,\nSiloam is hosting the Siloam Robotic Summit 2026 under the theme\n\u201cTransforming Surgery Through Robotics: Advancing Precision Across\nSurgical Disciplines\u201d.
