Robbers make off with gold jewelry<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Six burglars armed with sharp weapons broke into
\na house in the Budi Agung housing complex in Bogor, some 60 km
\nfrom here, early Saturday morning, making off with 30 grams in
\ngold jewelry and Rp 500,000 in cash.<\/p>\n
Herman, the house owner, told police that four of the robbers
\nentered the living room while he was lighting a candle after the
\nelectricity suddenly went out.<\/p>\n
Herman, who owns a car repair workshop, said the one who first
\nsaw the robbers was his mother, 50-year-old Mrs. Kusuma. She
\nscreamed for help but she was soon gagged by one of the robbers.<\/p>\n
Hearing the noise, Herman's father Gunawan, 55, tried to help
\nhis wife but he was soon overpowered. Two of the robbers pointed
\ntheir knives at Gunawan's stomach, while another one seized him
\nby the collar.<\/p>\n
The unidentified robbers then entered Herman's bedroom. The
\ncouple was rendered helpless at knife point and one of the
\nrobbers snatched the wife's necklace. They then ransacked the
\nbedroom, stealing Rp 500,000 in cash.<\/p>\n
