Robber wounds housewife<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): An unidentified robber severely wounded a
\nhousewife in Rawa Bugel village, near Harapan Jaya housing
\ncomplex in North Bekasi, and managed to escape with the woman's
\npurse containing Rp 1 million in cash and important documents on
\nWednesday evening.<\/p>\n
Asli Ratua, 43, was on her way home after visiting a colleague
\nnear the housing complex when she was robbed, a police officer of
\nthe North Bekasi subprecinct said. An unidentified man held her
\nup her with a sickle and threatened to kill her unless she
\nsurrendered her purse.<\/p>\n
\"But the victim did not hand over her purse, causing the man
\nto slash her with his sickle. While she screamed in pain, the man
\nimmediately grabbed her purse and left.\"<\/p>\n
He said local residents that heard the woman's scream then
\nrushed her to hospital and reported the case to the police.<\/p>\n
As of Thursday, the unidentified robber was still at large.<\/p>\n
The victim was still being treated at Bekasi General Hospital.<\/p>\n
\"We have therefore been unable to question her yet,\" the
