Chief Herman Tonglo<br>\nsaid most traffic violations uncovered in the special operation<br>\nzones involve motorists driving vehicles that are not roadworthy.<\/p>\n<p>Herman said the others were ticketed because of disciplinary<br>\nfactors. He cited public transit drivers failing to wear their<br>\nuniforms, not closing the bus doors while in motion and not<br>\ndisplaying their IDs while on duty.<\/p>\n<p>Herman said officials from the city traffic department are<br>\nordering public transit traffic violators to return to their<br>\ndepots.<\/p>\n<p>He was quoted by Suara Pembaruan daily as saying on Saturday<br>\nthat the decision on to send transit drivers back to their depots<br>\nis meant to inconvenience them enough they will obey the<br>\nregulations.<\/p>\n<p>\"The decision is aimed at improving the discipline of the<br>\ndrivers of public transit vehicles,\" Herman said.
