Jakarta (ANTARA) - Muhammad Kerry Adrianto Riza, the son of suspect\nRiza Chalid, became a crown witness in the trial of the alleged\ncorruption case at PT Pertamina (Persero), at the Corruption Court of\nthe Central Jakarta District Court on Monday.<\/p>\n
In the examination hearing, Kerry, as the beneficial owner of PT\nNavigator Khatulistiwa, will testify against the two defendants in the\ncase, namely Arief Sukmara and Indra Putra.<\/p>\n
In addition to Kerry, there are five other crown witnesses who will\nbe examined in the same hearing, namely Commissioner of PT Pelayaran\nMahameru Kencana Abadi (PMKA) Gading Ramadhan Juedo and Commissioner of\nPT Jenggala Maritim Nusantara (JMN) Dimas Werhaspati.<\/p>\n
Then, President Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS)\nfor 2022\u20132024 Yoki Firnandi, Vice President of Feedstock Management at\nPT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) for 2023\u20132024 Agus Purwono, and\nDirector of Feedstock and Product Optimisation at PT KPI for 2022\u20132025\nSani Dinar Saifudin.<\/p>\n
Crown witnesses are witnesses who are also defendants in the same\ncase. In the alleged corruption case regarding the governance of crude\noil and refinery products during the 2018\u20132023 period, the six crown\nwitnesses have already been sentenced to criminal penalties.<\/p>\n
Kerry was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Gading and Dimas\nwere each sentenced to 14 years in prison.<\/p>\n
In addition, Yoki and Sani were each sentenced to 9 years in prison,\nwhile Agus received 10 years in prison.<\/p>\n
Not only corporal penalties, the six defendants were also imposed\nfines of Rp1 billion each, subsidiary 190 days in prison.<\/p>\n
Specifically for Kerry, an additional penalty of restitution payment\namounting to Rp2.9 trillion, subsidiary 5 years in prison, was\nimposed.<\/p>\n
In the case, Arief, as Director of Gas, Petrochemicals, and New\nBusiness at PT PIS for 2024-2025, and Indra, as Business Development\nManager at PT Mahameru Kencana Abadi, are accused of causing state\nfinancial losses of Rp285.18 trillion.<\/p>\n
The two are alleged to have committed or participated in unlawful\nacts in three stages of crude oil and refinery product governance, which\ncaused losses to the state.<\/p>\n
The three stages in question are in the procurement of fuel terminal\nleasing by Pertamina, the provision of JBKP RON 90 compensation by the\ngovernment to PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) in 2022 and 2023, and the\nsale of non-subsidised diesel to PT PPN in 2020-2021.<\/p>\n
The actions of Arief and Indra are alleged to have been carried out\njointly with the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga for\n2021-2023 Alfian Nasution, Central Marketing and Trading Director at\nPertamina Patra Niaga for 2020-2021 Hasto Wibowo, and Senior Vice\nPresident (SVP) of Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) at Pertamina for\n2017-2018 Toto Nugroho.<\/p>\n
Then, Marketing and Trading Director at Pertamina for 2012-2014\nHanung Budya Yuktyanta and Vice President (VP) of Crude, Product\nTrading, and Commercial (CPTC) for 2019-2020 Dwi Sudarsono.<\/p>\n
For their actions, Arief and Indra face penalties as stipulated in\nArticle 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of\nLaw No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended\nand supplemented by Law No.\u00a020 of 2001 jo.
